Motorized inverted microscopes

Zaber’s MVR microscopes are motorized, inverted microscopes designed to lower the barriers to automated microscopy. Combining Zaber precision motion control and world class optics, MVR microscopes deliver unparalleled performance and value.

The modular design allows easy swapping of key modules such as the episcopic and transmitted illuminators, camera and even the tube lens, should you need to switch optical systems.

While most microscope companies charge you thousands for software, we provide a system that is fully compatible with µManager open source microscopy software. For applications requiring extended capabilities, we give you full access to all software controlled microscope functions through the Zaber Motion Library API to allow easy custom scripting.

Optional transmitted light source

The optional MLT illuminator uses high power LEDs to provide transmitted illumination suitable for brightfield and phase contrast observation modes. It attaches directly to the MVR inverted microscope frame and is located using precision alignment pins. No adjustments are required, just bolt it on, connect to the X-LCA4 LED controller and you’re ready to go.

Optional objective changer

The X-MOR-E motorized objective turret is a modular add-on for the MVR series of automated microscopes. Unlike a conventional nosepiece, the system moves only one objective at a time which allows rapid focus moves under 30 ms and objective scanning at up to 40 Hz.

Compatible with a wide variety of objectives up to 250 g and 35 mm barrel diameter.
