LED Illumination Systems

CoolLED specialise in the manufacture of illumination sources for fluorescence microscopy.

LEDs are replacing traditional gas discharge lamps as they are more stable, longer lasting, and energy efficient whilst offering superior safety and environmental features.

LED light engines offer multi-wavelength excitation from UV to NIR. The CoolLed has a unique reconfigurable mainframe that allows the user to change LEDs and Optical Filters in minutes.  These systems are for applications where speed is important as no shutter or filter wheel is required.  Optimise your excitation to match your experimental requirements with complete control.

White Light Systems provide a more economical option, where the excitation wavelength is optimised by optical filters within the microscope.

MIR LEDs Picosecond Pulsed LEDs

Sub-nanosecond pulsed LEDs are ideal excitation sources in spectrometer systems that do not require high spatial resolution.

Eight different LEDs with central wavelengths between 255 nm and 370 nm allow to choose a peak wavelength according to the needs of the application.

Their spectral and timing characteristics are also particularly suitable for biomedical applications, e.g., for the detection of labelled substances as well as naturally fluorescent amino acids like tryptophan or tyrosine.

Laser Safety

We are proud to be platinum partners with UVEX laservision, who manufacture Laser protective eyewear, such as safety glasses, goggles and large area protection.

Large Area Laser Protection

Shield laser working spaces or public areas with a compete line of large area laser protection systems. Some of these systems can be combined with glass or acrylic laser safety windows

Laser safety curtains are the most flexible solution to cover windows or larger areas. With clean room or laboratory specific requirements such as ESD. Other customised laser safety solutions are our laser safety films, laser protection roller blinds, slats and laser safety boxes

To meet the need for complete but flexible solutions laservision have developed the modular barrier system. An extensive portfolio of barrier modules with different protection levels or window segments.

When a quick and portable laser safety solution is required then please see our  mobile laser safety barrier system

Laser Safety Accessories

Laser 2000 provides a wide range of laser safety accessories, including secure storage, comfort enhancements, and maintenance solutions for laser safety eyewear.

Our accessories are designed to improve the usability and longevity of laser safety eyewear, from impact-resistant storage options to professional cleaning stations and comfort-focused support systems.

Laser Safety Eyewear

The filter material type and frame style is dependent on the protection level needed for the various classes of lasers.

All Laser safety spectacles and goggles are CE certified and conform to EN207 safety ratings. The EU standards consider the frame when determining eyewear safety rating, you can find our overview of the different available frame styles in our Frame Styles Guide.

If you do not know the EN207 safety rating needed please see our Laser Safety Calculator

Laser Safety Windows

The basic standard for laser protection (DIN EN 60825-1:2008) demands that lasers need to be safely operated under all predictable conditions.

According to the machine building regulation 2006/42/EG laser protection windows and enclosures are considered as safety components. That means, that the accessible laser radiation must be below the maximum permissible exposure for eye and skin.

laser safety windows are the integration within machine housings or within large area laser protection, such as cabins or panel barriers.
